Go to the famous Corsican ferruginous spring water !
At the heart of an ancient chestnut grove
Well known since the Antiquity, the Orezza natural spring water emerges from the heart of the majestic Castagniccia. Authorised by a Ministerial Decree on the 25th of April 1856, this thermal spring water is remarkable for its richness in iron and is used for treating anaemia, nervous system disorders, malaria, and liver and kidney diseases. Now used as table water, Orezza spring water belongs to the common heritage of all Corsicans.
An industrial site in Castagniccia in the heart of the Natural Regional Park of Corsica
The Orezza natural spring water site is a fine example of the 19th century industrial architecture, in its natural green setting. The buildings, which have been completely refurbished, were carefully extended in 1998, in keeping with this historic site.
