Go to the famous Corsican ferruginous spring water !
Localisation : Rapaggio.
At the heart of an ancient chestnut grove
Well known since ancient Roman times, the Orezza natural spring waters emerge from the heart of the majestic Castagniccia. Authorized by a Ministerial Decree on 25 April 1856, this thermal spring water is remarkable for its richness in iron and is used for treating anaemia, nervous system disorders, malaria, and liver and kidney disease. Now used as table water, Orezza spring water belongs to the common heritage of all Corsicans.
An industrial site in Castagniccia in the heart of Natural Regional Park of Corsica.
The Orezza natural spring waters site is a fine example of 19th century industrial architecture, in its natural green setting. The buildings, which have been completely refurbished, were carefully extented in 1998, in keeping with this historic site.
