Aniseed Canistrelli


Preparation time: 20 minutes. 

Cooking time: 45 minutes.



  • 1 kg flour
  • 400 g sugar
  • 2 sachets of vanilla sugar
  • 2 sachets of yeast
  • 30 cl oil
  • 20 cl white wine
  • 10 cl pastis
  • 2 tablespoons of anise seeds


  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and knead until getting a big ball.
  3. Spread the dough and cut it in strips of about 1 cm of thickness and put them on baking paper.
  4. Dust with sugar and put in the oven for 25 minutes.
  5. Take them out of the oven, cut them in staggered row and put them in the oven for 20 minutes.
