One of the peculiarities of Parata is that it is a purely pedestrian village.
The buildings date from the 16th century, and stand on a slope at the end of an isolated road lined by oak and chestnut trees. The «San Gavino» parish church dating from the 16th century, dominates the Orezza Valley. You can admire its paintings: «The Virgin and Child» and «The Virgin and Musician Angels».
