The small picturesque hamlet of Venzolasca was built in the mountains, away from invaders.
It spans a sort of natural amphitheatre leading down to the sea. A traditional village, Venzolasca is also a proud citadel. This look-out post, sited at the top of a ridge, is organised around a long, straight high street, lined with tall stone houses with slate roofs.
